Living in Texas, I have a difficult time this time of year. I look for signs of Autumn in the weather, changing of the leaves of the trees and the bushes. Unfortunately, I am disappointed every year. So, I have to look for Autumn in other places. We spend a lot of time at the high school football games, watching our son play in the drumline. This is actually our 7th year as a band parent. So high school football has really become a tradition for us and always makes me feel like it is Autumn.
As I talked about in my last post, I also like to create a feeling of Autumn by baking and cooking foods that include the flavors and smells of Autumn. One of my favorite things to cook is Salsa. Not only does it fill our home with an aroma of tomatoes, peppers, cilantro and onions. But I have beautiful jars of this amazing mixture to display in my kitchen. My favorite thing to do with my jars of salsa, is to share it with my friends and family. Over the years I have given away 100’s of jars of Salsa and taught many friends how to make Salsa. This year I have discovered a way to share the craft of making Salsa with many people. I have created a SkillShare.com class that will launch September 30th, 2015. And hear is a little hint: the first 25 people to sign up for my class, can sign up for free. More details will be posted as we get closer to the launch date. Tell me your favorite way to celebrate Autumn and I will choose one and send you a jar of my salsa!
Because I love Autumn and the colors of Autumn so much, I created another computer background for you. I hope you enjoy it and I hope you are enjoying Autumn in your home town!

Here in Colorado it is beginning to feel a bit like Autumn —- especially early in the morning. Some of the leaves are beginning to change colors, too. Hope the first snow fall doesn’t come too soon!
