In the last 3 weeks we have received close to 4 feet of snow at our house. You heard me right… 4 feet. 48 inches!
I actually love the snow, which is one of the reasons we moved back to Colorado. I grew up skiing, sledding and playing in the snow. As an adult, I worked as a Buyer and Merchandiser for Breeze Ski Rentals spending many, many hours amongst the snow filled mountains. There is just something magical about a walking down the street while the snow quieting falls to the ground. Snow makes me happy and imbues a feeling of a quaint, European town. The fluffy, white powder is like a bedspread covering the ground for the deer and foxes to rest their weary heads on.
However…..I lived in Texas for the past 15 years. My favorite season in Texas was Spring. Spring in Texas can begin as early as February . My former town of Flower Mound is actually experiencing temperatures in the 60’s and 70’s this week. I am sure that plants are starting their journey of bursting out of the ground and becoming flowers.
Do I have Spring Fever??? Maybe a little. I love flowers and I am already planning my flower garden to surround my beautiful Mountain Cabin. In the mean time, I have a basket on my kitchen counter filled with Spring Flowers which are giving off an amazing aroma and the wonderful feeling of Spring!
Do you have Spring Fever??? Add a little bit of Spring into your home by bringing some beautiful Spring Flowers in and ward off old man winter for a few weeks.
Send me some pictures if you create a Spring basket!
With love,
Jenn
